Delete your account

Two ways to do it, and exactly what each one removes.

Last updated: 4 September 2026

1. From inside the app

Open Me → Settings → Delete account and confirm.

This signs you out and erases everything Livora stored on that device, including your sign-in tokens, cached images and the device identity the app generated on first launch. Because the device identity is reset, the next sign-in from that phone creates a brand-new account — you will not be able to get back into the old one from that device.

Important: the in-app option clears the device. It does not by itself erase the data already held on our servers. To have your server-side data deleted as well, send the request described below — you can do that before or after using the in-app option.

2. By email — full server-side erasure

Email privacy@livora.app from any address, with the subject "Delete my account", and include:

  • your account ID (shown at the top of Me → Settings);
  • your nickname as it appears on your profile;
  • whether you also want your purchase history anonymised, where the law allows it.

We may ask one follow-up question to confirm you own the account — for example asking you to send the request from the phone number or email registered to it. We do this to stop someone else from deleting your account, and we ask for nothing more than is needed.

3. What is deleted

  • Your profile: nickname, avatar, gender, birthday and any text you added about yourself.
  • Your social graph: follows, followers and blocks.
  • Your private conversations and the images you uploaded.
  • Your level, growth points, badges and gift wall.
  • Any remaining diamond balance, which is forfeited on deletion and cannot be refunded or transferred.
  • Device identifiers and sign-in tokens associated with your account.

4. What we must keep, and for how long

A small amount of data survives deletion because the law requires it or because removing it would harm other users. It is kept separately from your profile and is not used to contact you or to rebuild your account.

DataWhy it is keptRetention
Transaction and invoice records Tax, accounting and audit obligations As required by local law, typically 5–10 years
Messages you sent to other users They are part of the other person's conversation history Retained on the recipient's side; your name is replaced with a deleted-user label
Moderation and abuse records Preventing a banned user from returning, and answering legal requests Up to 3 years, or longer if an investigation is open
Backups Backups are written as whole snapshots and cannot be edited in place Overwritten on the normal backup cycle, within 90 days

5. How long it takes

  • In-app deletion — immediate on that device.
  • Email request — we acknowledge within 2 business days and complete the erasure within 30 days, then confirm by reply.
  • Backups — cleared within 90 days as snapshots roll over.

6. Before you delete

  • Deletion is permanent. There is no restore, and the same account ID cannot be reissued.
  • Spend or write off any remaining diamonds first — they are forfeited, not refunded.
  • If you are a host with pending earnings, settle them under your host agreement before deleting; unsettled balances are forfeited.
  • Deleting your Livora account does not cancel any subscription held with Apple. Check Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device.
