Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

Last updated: 4 September 2026

1. Who we are

Livora ("Livora", "we", "us") is a live streaming and social audio application for mobile devices. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use the Livora app or this website.

The controller of your personal data is [Legal entity name], [registered address]. You can reach us at privacy@livora.app.

2. Data we collect

We collect only what the app needs to work. In practice, that is:

CategoryWhat it includesWhy
Account profile Numeric account ID, nickname, avatar, gender and date of birth if you provide them To create your account and show you to other users
Device identifier A device number generated by the app on first launch, plus OS version, app version and device model To keep you signed in, apply security limits and diagnose crashes
Content you create Private messages, room chat, photos you upload, and audio or video you broadcast while live To deliver your content to the people you send it to
Activity Rooms entered, follows, gifts sent and received, growth points and level To run the follow graph, leaderboards and level system
Transactions Purchase records, diamond balance and order status. We never receive your card number To credit purchases and handle refunds and disputes
Technical logs IP address, request timestamps, error codes and approximate country derived from IP Security, abuse prevention and regional content rules

We do not collect precise GPS location, we do not read your contacts, and we do not scan your photo library. We do not sell personal data.

3. Device permissions

The app asks for two permissions, each only at the moment the feature is used. Declining a permission disables that feature and nothing else — you can review or change both at any time in Settings → Permissions inside the app, or in your operating system settings.

  • Photo library — used solely to pick an avatar. The chosen image is resized on your device and uploaded; no other photo is read.
  • Microphone — used solely while you are on the mic in a live stream or party room. The microphone is not accessed while you are only listening.

4. How we use data

  • To provide the service: sign-in, streams, rooms, messages, gifts and levels.
  • To keep the service safe: detecting fraud, spam, ban evasion and abusive content.
  • To handle payments, credits and refunds.
  • To support you when you contact us, using your account ID to find the right records.
  • To meet legal obligations, including responding to valid legal requests.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract (providing the app), legitimate interests (safety, abuse prevention, service improvement), legal obligation (records, tax, lawful requests), and consent where the law requires it — for example for optional device permissions.

5. Sharing and processors

We share personal data only with service providers that process it on our behalf, under contract, and only for the purposes below.

ProviderPurposeData involved
Real-time audio/video provider Carrying live streams and voice room audio Room and user identifiers, audio and video streams while you are in a room
Instant messaging provider Delivering and syncing private conversations and online status Account identifier, message content and delivery metadata
Cloud object storage and CDN Storing and serving avatars, room covers and uploaded images Uploaded image files
Apple App Store In-app purchases on iOS Purchase receipt, transaction identifier
Third-party payment providers Web-based top-ups outside iOS Order identifier and amount. Card details go to the provider, not to us

We may also disclose data when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.

6. Payments

Diamonds are a virtual, non-transferable in-app currency used to send gifts. On iOS, purchases are processed by Apple through in-app purchase; refunds for those purchases are handled by Apple under its own policies. On other platforms, top-ups open in your system browser and are processed by the payment provider shown on the checkout page.

We receive confirmation that a purchase succeeded plus the amount and order reference. We never see or store your full card number, CVV or bank credentials.

7. Retention

  • Account data — kept while your account is active.
  • Room and message content — kept for the period needed to deliver and sync it, and to investigate reports.
  • Transaction records — kept for the period required by tax and accounting law, typically several years, even after account deletion.
  • Security logs — kept for a limited period for abuse investigation, then deleted or aggregated.

8. Security

  • Sign-in tokens and the device identifier are stored in the operating system's encrypted store — the Keystore on Android and the Keychain on iOS — not in plain application storage.
  • Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit, and request payloads carry an additional application-layer encryption.
  • Access to production data is limited to staff who need it and is logged.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant regulator where the law requires it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time.

  • Access and correction — edit your profile in the app, or email us.
  • Deletion — see Delete your account for what the in-app option does and how to request full server-side erasure.
  • Complaints — you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Email privacy@livora.app with your account ID (shown in Settings inside the app). We respond within 30 days.

10. Children

Livora is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, whichever is higher. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor is using Livora, contact safety@livora.app and we will remove the account.

11. International transfers

Livora is available in several countries, and our providers operate globally, so your data may be processed outside the country where you live. Where such transfers involve the EEA or UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

12. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
